VCDC Receives Approved Broker Status from Virginia Housing

September 2024 -- VCDC is honored to announce that we have received Approved Mortgage Broker Status permitting our organization to represent developers seeking loan products from Virginia Housing through their multi-family rental programs. This will enable our team to extend its role in affordable housing development beyond tax credit services into the lending field with utilization of the considerable and wonderful lending opportunities available at Virginia Housing.  

Being able to serve as a Virginia Housing Approved Broker is a complementary extension of the support we strive to provide to our development partners. VCDC staff has long worked closely and diligently with developers in Virginia, with an investment portfolio spanning over 217 properties that have delivered over 10,500 affordable homes across the state. Our involvement extends beyond the equity investment itself as our development officers provide critical technical advisement and financial modeling early in the development process to support our partners.  

This new service will allow us to further our mission of supporting partners through collaboration and dedication, ensuring the creation of affordable housing in vibrant neighborhoods. Is your organization seeking loan products available at Virginia Housing for affordable rental housing developments?
