Omni Park Place Apartments: Homes for Seniors

Nov. 2020 - Located in Ashland, VA, the Omni Place project involves the rehabilitation of an existing apartment complex with 61 LIHTC units serving seniors. Seven units will be fully outfitted with accessibility features for disabled residents.

VCDC invested $1,799,280 through the Housing Equity Fund of Virginia 24, and is partnering with developer and sponsor project:HOMES, whose over 25 years of experience includes a focus on seniors and accessibility for elderly and disabled households. 

The rehabilitation includes upgrades to heating and cooling systems, elevator upgrades, new windows, a new roof, energy star appliances, counters, cabinets, landscaping, new accessible pathways and asphalt repairs. Construction is expected to be completed in December 2021.
