Luray Meadows: New Homes in the Shenandoah Valley
VCDC is proud to welcome Luray Meadows to our portfolio.
May 2021 - Luray Meadows is a newly constructed housing development serving low-income families in the Town of Luray, Virginia. The project will create 52 affordable units, including six units constructed with accessibility features for residents with disabilities. Units will feature high efficiency HVAC systems and energy-star appliances, windows, and fixtures to exceed EarthCraft Gold Certification standards for green building.
Project developer People Incorporated Housing Group is an affiliate of long-time VCDC partner People Inc., whose 57 years of experience includes the development of over 17 LIHTC-assisted projects to create affordable housing in Virginia.
VCDC provided $6,253,603 in equity through the Housing Fund of Virginia XXIII, LLC to the total project cost of $12,894,046. Construction is expected to be complete by Fall 2021.
